The Life & Whimsies of Knitty Lou

Lizard Ridge Give Away

Posted on: July 7, 2011

I LOVE this pattern! However, it calls for Noro and I kept breaking out in hives on my fingers anytime I would work on it for any length of time. I asked my doctor about it, and she said I was probably allergic to the veggy matter within the wool. Bummer! I had made a few squares, but when I finally got tired of hives, I decided to give them away. My friend Laura was also working on the blanket, so I figured she could get to her end a little quicker. I also gave her all of the unknit skeins I had and I’m glad to NEVER have to work with it again. I am not glad, however, to not have this blanket. So, I am currently on the hunt (with Laura’s help) to find a good substitute which will have a similar look when knit up. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
